About me
Hi! I’m Josh Ilachinski. I first picked up photography at 12 years old with an old Polaroid instant camera, and was immediately drawn to macro photography around my home in Virginia. Since then, I’ve focused on capturing scenes from landscapes around the world. I’m drawn mostly to the mountains, where I’ve always been awed at the beauty in every scale - from the smallest plants to the sweeping vistas. My main goal as a photographer is to capture the landscapes, life, and natural patterns that coalesce to form a sense of place. I’ve been practicing digital photography for over 6 years, and in that time my photographs have been featured in a few galleries, such as PhotoPlace Gallery in Vermont and the International Color Awards.
